Why we love walking dogs
Out in the open, away from the city life in a park with some dogs that absolutely love going for a walk, and think that I am their best friend ever for taking them for a walk and giving them the occasional doggie treat - the life of a dog walker!
You must think I am crazy to love doing this - lol.
Walthamstow, whilst in the hub of London has some amazing places for walking dogs.
Starting out from the Boat House Car Park at Hollow Pond, we can walk the dogs for miles around the lake, the dogs love it there, and so do we.
There are other great places to walk the dogs in Walthamsow, like

- Low hall sports ground
Tottenham Marshes
These marshes has an acerage of over one hundred and in 1972 became part of the Lee Valley Park. The Tottenham Marshes are located just off Watermead Way and are open 24 hours of the day, means that we can walk there anytime - allowing for lockdown and any other restrictions imposed.
The Tottenham Marshes are a huge area to go dog walkings. There is a lot to see and explore there in the massive area that it covers, and the dogs are sure to explore and sniff out some interesting things.
There are 3 main parts of thes marshes
- Wild Marsh East
- Wild Marsh West
- Clendish Marsh
The River Lea separates the East and West Wild Marshes , the dogs love going for walks here, definitely a favourite for the pouches here.
Walthamstow Marshes
Another favourite place to walk the dogs are the Walthamstow Marshes
These are located off Lea Bridge Rd, and like the other parks and marshes aroung Walthamstow make for a great place to let the dogs get some much needed exercise and companionship with other dogs.
Low hall sports ground
For a bit of variety, we also take the dogs walking at the Walthamstow Low Hall Sports Ground, just off Lower South Access Rd.
At the Low Hall ground there is approximately 19 hectares of parkland, and accomodates more than a dozen full size football pitches, and includes small wooded area providing a habitat for wildlife.
It is not far from St James Park, another venue where dogs on leads are welcome , although the doges are not permitted into the play area, sports courts or multi-use areas at St James
